Rhinoplasty (nasal plastic)

The purpose of rhinoplasty (nasal plastic, nasal surgery) is to remove the aesthetic defects of the nose, and adjust the respiratory function of the nose, if it’s necessary.

Aesthetic rhinoplasty removes external nasal defects such as: a hump, a disproportionately large nose, a saddle nose, a deformed nose as a result of an injury, or a previously unsuccessful rhinoplasty, a wide or narrow nose, asymmetry of the wings of the nose, a wide nose end, etc.

Functional nasal plastic (rinoseptoplasty)  eliminates nasal defects, that lead to nasal breathing disorders, and complications associated with it. The most often problem, is a surgery on the nasal redistribution.

Usually rhinoplasty, is performed after the full formation of the face skeleton and nose. For women its after 16 years, for men after 18 years. Functional rhineseptoplasty can be performed earlier but only after doctors approval.

Our specialist will offer you detailed consultation regarding the type of nose surgery, will help to make it flawless and harmonizing with the face.
During the first consultation, the doctor will create a computer analysis and computer model of your future nose.
The type of skin, ethnic background and age are important factors that will be discussed with your surgeon before rhinoplasty.
The rhinoplastic surgeon of “Estel” clinic is a certified specialist of plastic surgery and health care medicine.

Nasal plastic  is produced under general or local anesthesia through closed or open access. The average duration of aesthetic rhinoplasty is 1.5-2 hours. The functional stage can last up to 1 hour more.

After the operation, in order to support the newly created nasal congestion, the doctor will put intranasal splints, which will stay in the nose for up to 14 days, and nasal tampons for 1-2 days. An outer fixing band is applied for 2 or 4 weeks for the postoperative fixation of the nose skeleton.

The nose will be formulated fully after half a year.
